A local fintech company has named a new chief financial officer.

Peter Inge has been named CFO of NXTsoft, which provides secure data solutions for financial institutions, including API connectivity, data migration and conversion, data analytics and data security.

NXTsoft has emerged as a growing force in Birmingham's technology scene, making a number of acquisitions and key partnerships.

Inge previously served as executive vice president of finance for NXTsoft. In his expanded role, Inge will have overall authority on the financial matters of the company and will serve as the lead in reporting relationships with the company’s equity partners, bankers and other external parties.

“Since 2018, NXTsoft has grown from a single platform security awareness and education company with a handful of staff to the diverse business with employees all over the country that we work in today. In that time, we have taken on a multibillion-dollar equity partner, acquired eight companies and integrated a multitude of foundational technologies and systems – all culminating in our development as a truly sophisticated enterprise,” said NXTsoft President Andy McMakin.

Inge previously served on the investment team at Vulcan Value Partners, a local public equities investment firm and as an equity research analyst for Barclays Investment Bank in New York City.

In 2020, Inge was named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s NexGen BHM: Money list.
