A new company that launched this summer from Huntsville aims to provide AI solutions for defense and federal partners.

Strategic AI Services, or SAS, focuses on delivering end-to-end artificial intelligence (AI) services from concept to deployment, hoping to address specific needs in the Department of Defense (DoD) sector and other departments.

The company, founded in June, is a joint venture of Analytical AI and Offset Strategic Services (OSS). It combines multi-modal algorithm designs with technical and engineering expertise across space, air, ground, sea and enterprise systems.

“Our mission is to deliver AI services with the end in mind,” said William Monroe, chief data scientist at SAS. “We are committed to building practical solutions that address real-world problems.”

SAS’s services include high-trust AI and machine learning (ML) algorithms, high-performance, computing, ACAT 1 program management, data analytics and deep learning, DoD engineering and integration, concept and prototype development, DoD enterprise management and cybersecurity compliance.

“Our belief is that the adoption of AI and ML can be agile, cost-effective and readily deployable,” said Chris Hill, managing partner.
