A $29.7 million alteration was recently approved for a Huntsville solar panel plant.

That's according to AL.com, which reported it was the largest project issued a permit in the Huntsville area in a two-week span and that, according to Southern Exposure Information, the permit was issued to China Construction of America for the work to be completed at Runergy Alabama at 4905 Moores Mill Road in Huntsville.

Jiangsu Runergy New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, founded in 2013, is a solar technology company. It has established partnerships with Fraunhofer-ISE in Germany and UNSW in Australia. According to InfoLink Consulting, Runergy ranked the top three in the world in cell shipments for consecutive three years from 2020 to 2022.
