Two Birmingham-based companies have received national recognition.
Guideway Care and Fleetio made this year's Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list, which honors the most innovative, fastest-growing public and private companies across the U.S.
Now in its 28th year, the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 was created to "recognize the passion and dedication it takes to be an industry disrupter across the technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, fintech and energy tech sectors."
The rankings are compiled based on submitted applications and public company database research with winners selected based on their percentage fiscal-year revenue growth over a three-year period.
Guideway Care, a technology-enabled care guidance service that is known for its work with the GuideSafe app, ranked 47th overall, and its growth was 3,518%, according to the list.
The company recently inked a deal with Vizient, one of the largest member-owned health care services companies in the country. It entered into a multi-year agreement with Vizient to provide its customers with several services. Financial details were not disclosed, but the deal went into effect July 1, 2021.
Fleetio, a fleet management software company, ranked 439th, and its growth was listed as 286%.
The company unveiled a newly renovated and expanded 15,000-square-foot office space in downtown Birmingham over the summer. Before renovations, the office was 3,800 square feet. Renovations cost about $1 million.
Its first office space was located in Innovation Depot. In 2017, Fleetio moved to its current building on Second Avenue North, with the recent construction completed in late 2021. The historic building containing the expanded space was built in the early 1920s, originally home to Silver’s Department Store, and the renovated floor was abandoned for roughly 50 years until this current renovation.
