Urban Engine, a Huntsville-based nonprofit aimed at accelerating STEAM-focused innovation, named a new executive director.
Lacey Reinoehl will take the helm of the organization, which aims to encourage entrepreneurship through education. Her goal will be to continue the agency's mission of propelling the growth of the state's economy by connecting aspiring entrepreneurs and established business leadership to educational resources, talent and community.
Urban Engine has served thousands of entrepreneurs, founders, and innovators throughout Alabama since its creation in 2015.
An entrepreneur herself, Reinoehl’s qualifications include her success as co-founder and vice president of product development for Huntsville-based software company Lojix and owner of technical solutions firm Zaros Labs.
Reinoehl also currently serves as DevSecOps specialist at Deloitte Consulting LLP and has held several leadership positions among area nonprofits, including Girls Inc. of Huntsville, Women Who Code Huntsville, Huntsville Alabama Chamber of Commerce and WeRockIT Conf.
“Huntsville is full of opportunity and growth,” Reinoehl said. “There has never been a better time to plug in and discover the vast network of support and resources in place for motivated innovators and entrepreneurs.”
