Local startup Boulo Solutions has acquired a Tennessee-based company.

Boulo Solutions, in an asset purchase transaction, has incorporated the Knoxville, Tennessee-based MomSource Network team under Boulo’s brand. MomSource Network also has a presence in Chattanooga, Nashville, Atlanta and Tampa, Florida.

This move aims to strengthen and expand Boulo’s presence in the staffing and recruiting industries, tripling the number of women it serves who are seeking flexible employment across the U.S. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The move also comes on the heels of Boulo partnering with Veer Clinic in late 2021 and raising a $500,000 seed round in early 2021.

"The MomSource Network, having several thousand job-seeking members, operates throughout Tennessee and the Southeast. In conjunction with Boulo's organic growth, we believe that the MomSource Network team, members and client base offer an excellent opportunity to expand our business," said Boulo Solutions CEO Delphine Carter. "When I first met (Courtney Jones, CEO and founder of MomSource Network), I immediately knew we had strong synergies. Together, we amplify our abilities to help elevate women in the workforce, especially working mothers. And, with a greater ability to educate companies on what types of work-life blend strategies they should employ, we will help them attract top talent."

Both companies specialize in sourcing and vetting candidates for flexible full-time, part-time and contract job opportunities across the country. While focused on supporting women, the companies advocate for professionals including men, military spouses, veterans and retirees who prioritize flexibility when choosing an employer.

"I'm incredibly proud of what the MomSource team has built,” said Jones, who is now Boulo’s chief revenue officer. “I look forward to providing additional resources and support to forward-thinking employers and candidates through the expanded Boulo team. It is the next step in our journey to changing the way women work."

According to Boulo, their expanded capabilities will benefit both clients and candidates alike. Current MomSource and Boulo clients gain access to a larger pool of diverse talent. The Boulo team will also have increased bandwidth to service new clients who value diversity and work-life blend. Additionally, individuals actively searching for employment can expect an exponential increase in opportunities through Boulo with some of the region's most progressive employers.
