A local startup has secured a contract with a famous international brand.
McDonald’s of Greater Atlanta has signed on to use Birmingham-based Linq's technology. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The fast food giant will use Linq's technology for Atlanta area employees, giving leaders insight into recruitment, engagement and insights for both current employees and potential recruits. The partnership is intended to help alleviate the staff shortages and hiring hurdles that have become recently common.
Linq said in a release the partnership is aimed to capture, educate and hire workers. Linq's technology enables restaurants to direct interested workers into a custom-curated platform that promotes hiring information ad helpful resources and how to apply for employment. Linq's platform also features analytics, enabling McDonald's to better understand hiring trends, location-based interest and engagement for each click.
"At our core, Linq enables people to best represent who they are and what they do. As the hiring environment becomes more and more competitive, it's increasingly important to quickly communicate those things, both as a brand and a candidate," said Elliott Potter, co-founder and CEO of Linq. "We are thrilled to be partnering with McDonald's to help make the entire hiring process easier and more efficient from application to hire."
The Greater Atlanta McDonald’s Operators Association includes more than 30 owner/operators and operations managers, representing more than 260 restaurants in the 45-county Greater Atlanta area.
Linq has been growing exponentially in 2021. The company thrived during the initial stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, but has also secured $2.5 million in seed funding and has moved into a new space downtown.
