A new center has opened in the state centered around helping women launch successful business enterprises.
Huntsville-based The Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship has launched its new women’s business center and established an office in Clanton. The new facility is called the REACH Women’s Business Center. The center's name stands for Regional Economic Assistance for Communicating Hope. The facility is now poised to provide entrepreneurs throughout central and south Alabama with resources to achieve success in business.
“At The Catalyst, we know that small businesses are the backbone of local economy,” said Lisa Mays, CEO of The Catalyst Center. “We are absolutely thrilled to be opening our new Clanton office and cannot wait to come alongside existing Central Alabama community resource partners to put even more of Alabama’s small business dreams to work.”
The center has several offerings for members including personalized coaching with subject matter experts and training on topics such as funding, marketing, finance, human resources, scaling and more. The center also offers events that are specifically relevant to female entrepreneurs.
The center was made possible through a U.S. Small Business Association Women's Business Center Grant. The center said the grant was one of only 20 awarded nationwide.
