Q&A with Kyle Berman, CEO and founder of OD Revive

OD Revive was founded in 2023. The team is compromised of a co-founder and some investors, coupled with an All Star Advisory Board.

What does innovation mean to you?

Innovation is where the problems of today meet the creative minds of optimism and solutions. This of course is followed with fierce determination to make the world a better place however big or small the solution.

What ways has your company innovated and/or created meaningful impact?

We’ve developed a wearable device capable of detecting an opioid overdose and alerting an user's emergency contacts of their location to ensure a prompt response to administer Narcan and revive them. We are pioneering a new ecosystem of addiction technology and we’re going to change the way the world responds to overdoses along the way!

What else do you want people to know about your company?

The concept of OD Revive was born through great loss; 16 of my friends and my little sister have died of opioid overdoses. That, and we are approaching this with decades of lived experience as recovering addicts. I lived in a tent behind Pep Boys for the better part of 2 years and have been to jail 9 times. Today I own a beautiful home here in Birmingham and I'm now 6 years clean. I’m a problem solver and the problem I’ve set my sights on is the opioid crisis that plagues our beloved nation.
