The company started in January of 2019 with one contract to find prohibited items at airports. It continued to grow each year and build a reputation in the space. In 2022, the startup bid on six contracts, and won all six. Two of those were direct to Phase Two Air Force SBIR's. This year, the company awarded its largest contract ever. It competed with the large traditional providers, there was no small business advantage, and it was chosen.

What is the most important thing your company accomplished in the past year?

Earning a very large DHS contract.

What is a short-term and long-term goal for the company in 2024?

Continuing to find great team members and diversifying the markets we serve.

What makes Alabama unique when it comes to the startup ecosystem?

We have an entrepreneurial mindset. We also have Innovation Depot, which was material to our beginning. Our prospective customers came to an office environment that made us look good. In addition, Innovate Alabama provides matching grants. Raising capital in Alabama is not easy, so any grant or incentive is very important.
