The pandemic continues to keep most of us separated -- and at home if possible. But from coffee chats to happy hours and from pitch competitions to in-depth panel conversations, there's a ton of interaction happen in Austin's virtual tech startup ecosystem.

To help put interesting content on your radar, we've gathered many of the best virtual events we could find for the month ahead. So, let's zoom in to see what's on the calendar in September. Click the links to get to event registration pages. See you on the other side of the screen!

Sept. 8 at noon

Capital Factory's "Latinx in Tech Summit" gives you a chance to check out a strong lineup of speakers and panelists who will be sharing insights throughout the afternoon. Speakers include Angelica Erazo, diversity and inclusion consultant at Oracle; Eugene Sepulveda, partner and director at Capital Factory; Whoisraising.vc founder Samantha Batista; and many more.

Sept. 8 at 6:15 p.m.

Join the Austin Forum on Technology & Society for a conversation with six startup leaders. The session, titled "From Tech Idea to Technology Impact: Creating Successful Tech Companies That Matter," includes Gordon Daughtery, Harold Ingersol, Kirk Cesari, Ashley Stroud Phillips, Josh Baer and Jill Murphy.

Sept. 9 at 1 p.m.

What's the best way to drive sales? It might have to do with how well you communicate with your team. Join the Austin Technology Council for a conversation on "Why investing in your people is as important as investing in your forecast." It starts with a little networking, followed by a presentation by Skaled Consulting CEO Jake Dunlap and Tiffany Giddens, head of global sales development at Planview.

Sept. 9 at 1 p.m.

Join Galvanize, MEASURE, Huston Tillotson University and Capacity Catlyst for a conversation centered around one question: "How can data be racist?"

Sept. 10 at 11 a.m.

You may have heard that AI is only as good as the data you train it on. But it goes deeper than that. Join Hypergiant for this second part of a two-part webinar. This one is focused on "Rethinking AI ethics, regulation and policy." Speakers include Will Griffin, chief ethics officer at Hypergiant Industries; Ken Fleischmann, professor and director of undergraduate studies at The University of Texas Good Systems; Dr. Dorothea Baur, principal and owner of Baur Consulting AG; and Cortnie Abercrombie CEO and founder of AI Truth.

Sept. 10 at 2 p.m.

Get the lowdown on raising venture capital dollars in Capital Factory's monthly "Fundraising and Ask Me Anything" event. This month's speakers include Tina Dai, principal at Silverton Partners, and Jill Klinvex, senior venture associate at Capital Factory.

Sept. 15 at 2 p.m.

Health care technology is booming. And you can get a closer look at the local health tech ecosystem during Capital Factory's upcoming "Intro to the Healthcare Startup Scene & Ask Me Anything with Hubert Zajicek." Zajick, co-founder of Health Wildcatters, will be joined by Capital Factory's Bryan Chambers.

Sept. 16 at 11 a.m.

Hypergiant and Movability are hosting a conversation titled "Beyond Smart Cities." But it's the question in the description that might spark the most intrigue: "Is our future going to look more like 'Ready Player One' or 'Minority Report?' "

Sept. 24 at 10:15 a.m.

Join Growth Acceleration Partners and Austin Technology Council for a discussion about "Three essential pillars to growing your business during the pandemic."

Sept. 24 at 4 p.m.

Raise those horns to the air because it's time to for the "Intro to UT/Austin startup ecosystem," in which Amanda Golden, program administrator of the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship, and Mellie Price, executive director of commercialization at Dell Medical School, provide a closer look at what UT has to offer student founders. Then, at 5 p.m., there will be a virtual trade show.

Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m.

Join the Austin young Chamber and the City of Austin's eco devo department for the "Austin Fast Start: STEM Pitch Event." We don't know who the finalists are just yet, but, rest assured, they'll be there to pitch.
