Wheel Health Inc., an Austin-based company with a virtual care platform, said Aug. 3 it has appointed Kristina Omari as its new chief financial officer. She was most recently executive vice president of finance at Austin-based Everly Health, an Austin-based health diagnostics company. She has also held roles at Adobe, Lyft and Fitbit.
Wheel, led by co-founder and CEO Michelle Davey, has created a virtual health care marketplace, connecting patients with companies and clinicians for telehealth, lab testing, remote patient monitoring and more. Late last year, it acquired GoodRx Care's virtual care technology for about $20 million.
The startup was founded in 2018 and has raised about $216 million, including a $150 million series C round announced in January 2022 from investors such as Lightspeed Venture Partners, Tiger Global, Salesforce Ventures and Austin-based Silverton Partners.
