A San Diego-based startup with a $300 million annual run rate is opening its first Austin office.

Seismic Software Inc. specializes in what it calls sales enablement, which includes resources, content and tools designed to improve engagement and efficiency between sales teams and prospective and existing clients. The startup has raised $446.5 million since its founding in 2010.

The company's headquarters is in San Diego, and its next largest office is in Indianapolis. But the largest portion of its global team works remote. The Austin office, located in the Arboretum area of North Austin at 9600 Great Hills Trail, will be a home base for Seismic's 25 or so Austin-area employees. Overall, the company has about 1,500 employees.

In Austin, the new space will have employees from multiple departments, and the company plans to expand its go-to-market team locally.

Seismic's director of workplace experience worked with JLL Austin to find the new location. It wasn't immediately clear how large the space is.

The company is operating in hybrid format. Workers don't have specific days they are expected in the office but new team members are encouraged to come in two to three days a week.

"One of the reasons we selected Austin is the rise in talent in this city over the last few years, specifically in the technology industry," a company representative said via email. "Not only has the talent pool become more attractive to tech and software firms, but also several of our customers and partners have a footprint in the region."
