The big fest is here.

On Friday evening, Paul McCartney and Odesza headline the Austin City Limits Music Festival, with performances by Khalid, Father John Misty, Greta Van Fleet and many others. Metallica, Justice, Chvrches and Deftones hold down Saturday night, and Travis Scott, Artic Monkeys and Sylvan Esso knock it out on Sunday evening after an all-day jam fest.

So let's talk about getting to and fro -- and around town.

Bird: The dockless e-scooter company just launched Bird Delivery, where riders can request a Bird to be delivered to their home or business by 8 a.m. and lets you use it throughout the day to guarantee you've got a scooter available, which might be handy during the crush of ACL visitors for heavy-duty riders.

Lime: The dockless e-scooter startup partnered with other companies and rented out the Toomey Lot from the City of Austin. It's located just Northeast of the Barton Springs Road festival entrance, and it's "the mandatory dockless mobility dropoff zone for all ACL attendees. It’s the closest and safest area to end your ride, plus there will be discount codes and other sponsored giveaways for those who end their rides here.” (See map)

Uber: The ride-hailing giant is the official ride of the fest, and it's also offering up its JUMP electric bikes. After the show, the company says you should "walk along Barton Spring Road past South Lamar before making your request for a pickup. The further away you go from crowds and street closures, it will be easier for your driver to pick you up." Or you can take the ACL Shuttle Bus to Downtown and request a pickup from there. The bus will stop at 4th and Guadalupe Streets.

Lyft: You get $1 off rides. The company says you can just "drop by the Lyft Lounge located outside Zilker on the Park Condos (Barton Springs Road, just before the bridge) to take a picture with the Lyft VW Bus and grab swag, additional ride discounts, and more." More details in Lyft's blog.

car2go: car2go has one of the closes free parking areas at ACL this year. It's at the car2go Drop Zone at Carpenter Hotel -- it's on Barton Springs Road just west of Lamar. The lot is staffed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- but members can still arrive after 6 p.m. and park. You just have to register with your drivers license at car2go.com or on their app. Be sure to check that app to make sure there's still cars available before hoofing it down to the lot.
