South By Southwest never sleeps. By the time one year's attendees are heading home, SXSW staff are already looking ahead and new speakers are thinking of how they might captivate next year's audiences.

Well, March 8-17, 2019, may seem like a long ways away. But now is the time to perfect your pitch.

SXSW on Monday opened its PanelPicker platform, which is where people submit panel proposals for the interactive portion of the fest, as well as drop submissions to be featured in SXSW's film and music showcases. PanelPicker is also used to gather community votes for particular panels, which helps influence which proposals will be added to the official schedule.

SXSW is accepting applications on the PanelPicker through Friday, July 20. Though last year's festival included 2,100-plus sessions, it's a competitive application process that often requires an engaging title, accomplished panelists and significant support from friends and the rest of the community.

Among the many programming tracks for next year's conference are: blockchain and cryptocurrency, coding, entrepreneurship and startups, health tech; style, retail, entertainment, film, cannabusiness, experiental story telling, food, journalism, social impact and VR/AR/MR.

Additionally, you can submit digital creative work for the Interactive Innovation Awards, the most inventive startups for SXSW Pitch, and nominations for the SXSW Community Service Awards.
