Austin has been named the No. 1 place to live in America on U.S. News & World Report's latest survey and analysis.

The list of best places to live is based on data from the Census, the FBI, the Department of Labor and the news publication's internal resources. The rankings were based on each city's quality of life (30 percent), affordability (25 percent), job market (20 percent), desirability (15 percent) and influx of new residents (10 percent).

The full top five places to live include: Austin, Colorado Springs, Denver, Des Moines and Fayetteville. Portland, Huntsville, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis and Seattle rounded out the top 10.

This is Austin's second year in a row as the top ranked city. In 2016, it ranked second behind Denver.

Other Texas cities ranked include: San Antonio (14th), Dallas (18th), Houston (26th), Kileen (90th), El Paso (105th), Corpus Christi (106th), Beaumont (113th), McAllen (115th) and Brownsville (121st).

Austin has featured as a best place to live on a variety of lists.

Last year, WalletHub ranked the city No. 6 on its list. It landed second on LinkedIn's "America's Sweet Spots: Cities Where Job Opportunity and Housing Affordability Intersect." And it was No. 1 on CNBC's "Metro 20: America's Best Places to Start a Business."
