Almost everyone gets nervous before pitching their startup. Folks also tend to lose it a bit when they meet celebrities.
So, the PerfectPitch event put on by Sound Ventures is likely both a dream and a nightmare for founders.
The pitch competition, which features five entrepreneurs, will be judged by actor Matthew McConaughey, actor and Sound Ventures Founding Partner Ashton Kutcher, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, StyleSeat CEO Melody McCloskey, author and VaynerMedia Founder Gary Vaynerchuk and U2 band manager and Sound Ventures Founding Partner Guy Oseary.
We reached out to see who the five finalists that will be pitching are, but we haven't heard back yet.
The winner will get a $100,000 award. The event is on Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Hotel Van Zandt. It's open to any SXSW badge holders.
Then, after the pitches, Snoop Dogg will host a DJ set at an invite-only event.
