WeWork is expanding in Austin yet again, this time providing new retail space and room for hundreds of new members.

The coworking giant announced Tuesday that it is adding on to its University Park location near the University of Texas, which it opened in April 2016. When the expansion is complete, the University Park spot will be able to house 1,340 people.

The news comes a couple months after WeWork revealed it would open a fourth location in Austin -- a space in the Chase Tower downtown at 221 West 6th St. with room for about 1,050 members.

WeWork also announced it has hired former Austin Young Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Matt Glazer as its community director. In that position, Glazer will oversee all four Austin WeWork locations and be a judge and mentor for MassChallenge Texas, which will be housed in WeWork's new Chase Tower location.

“As a former member and entrepreneur, Matt understands the challenges and opportunities facing creators of all kinds and sizes,” Nathan Lenahan, head of operations for WeWork’s Southern region, said in a prepared statement. “For more than a decade, he has dedicated his time to bridging the gap between Austin business leaders, lawmakers, and nonprofits, and his passion and proven successes will be an invaluable resource for our team and members in Austin.”

Glazer stepped down from the Austin Young Chamber this fall to launch Blue Sky Partners, a digital agency that helps startups, along with co-founders Nathan Ryan and Tim Seaton. He also previously founded Glazer Group and was the director of marketing for Austin's Weird Homes Tour.

WeWork opened its first Austin location at Congress Avenue and 6th Street in February 2015. That quickly filled up, and the New York-based company opened WeWork University Park in April 2016. Meanwhile, it expanded its first location and, later, opened an office at the Domain in North Austin in December last year.
