Kendra Scott, founder of Kendra Scott Designs, surprised a plane full of passengers as they boarded a Southwest flight going from Austin to Chicago on Thursday.
It started at the gate in Austin where Scott and her team handed out gift bags for the flight, including eye shades for napping and a round of drinks for anyone who wanted one on the plane ride to Chicago.
Then, before landing, stewards handed out golden tickets and told the travelers to go to baggage claim in Chicago for another surprise.
When they showed up, a Santa Clause wearing a bright gold suit was also waiting for his bags. Then, big Kendra Scott boxes came off the conveyor and the team handed out smaller boxes full of gifts, including necklaces and earrings, for the flyers.
The company shared a video, which you can watch below:
Kendra Scott founded her jewelry business at her home 2002 with $500 out of her own pocket. By 2010, she opened her first brick and mortar store. Now her namesake jewelry company is one of the city's few B2C startups valued at more than $1 billion.
