Welcome to Austin Inno — on the ABJ's website.

Consider this your terminal to Austin's innovative and entreprenerial ecosystem.

First, who are we? Austin Inno is a digital media, events and data company covering, connecting and catalyzing local innovation. We're part of American Inno, a network in 14 (and counting) entreprenerial markets across the country.

We've long been part of the American City Business Journals, making us a sister site of the Austin Business Journal, but now the two brands are coming together under one website.

Connect

If you haven't already, sign up for The Beat. It's a daily newsletter offering all of the news, analysis, insights, updates and more on the local ecosystem — and its separate from the email updates you may get from Austin Business Journal. In addition to the community's most important stories and developments, you'll also discover upcoming events and top open roles. The Beat is the best way to stay on-top-of Austin tech and startups.

You can also follow Inno on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn for daily updates.

New to the ecosystem?

Start with Inno's Guides, which will provide you with a variety of resources and onboarding materials, including lists of local capital sources and coworking spaces and roundups of regional meetup groups and accelerators. And take a look at our Ecosystem at a Glance feature, which serves as a 30,000-foot view of the landscape.

Situated?

Now that you have a sense of the key people, businesses, organizations and stakeholders that make up the ecosystem, let's go a little deeper.

You can read the latest news and analysis on Austin tech and startups here. To get a feel for some of the region's top startups, cruise through our Profiles newsriver. For the latest local venture capital deals, head over to Fundings. For comprehensive features on current issues, trends and topics impacting the community, check out Inno Insights. You can also view Roundups for monthly lists on top fundings and hires and News for briefs on recent expansions, acquisitions, launches and more.

Looking for a job or need to network?

Take a look at our Careers and Events directories, a collection of local ecosystem jobs and meetups (both live and virtual). If you have an open position or are organizing an event, you can post it directly to our directories.

Inno also hosts a handful of events a year and you can check those out here; you won't want to miss Startups to Watch and Inno on Fire. (Check out our most recent Inno on Fire video for a visual snapshot of the region's top startups). And if you're a local business doing amazing things in the community, be sure to nominate for one of our core Awards.

Hoping to meet like-minded businesses?

Visit our Startup Directory to search for and discover local startups. Filter by industry, funding, stage and size or hit the ‘Inno Shuffle’ for a little dealer’s choice. In the next few months, Inno will be releasing a 2.0 version of its directory, which a more curated collection of the city's top early and growth-stage companies.

We'll also have a Community directory, which will be open to the entire ecosystem, with individual company pages. This will be the ecosystem's 'Yellow Pages,' so stay tuned.

Have a pretty good feel for the community but hoping to sound super smart?
