One of the most interesting things about covering Austin tech startups is seeing how these relatively new teams have developed a culture all their own.
Sure, ping-pong tables may seem a little overdone at this point. But many of Austin's top tech companies go far beyond that by giving employees fun and even luxurious offices, massive lunch spreads and enviable benefits.
That's one of the reasons we're throwing a party to celebrate Austin's coolest companies. It's a way to learn what's working for other teams -- and a time to clink a few glasses or cans of beer in honor of the way we've transformed our workplaces.
After gathering hundreds of submissions, we've whittled it down to a list of 74 finalists based on cool office design, benefits and a variety of other perks. And, from now until July 16, you can vote for your favorite companies.
Now, here's a look at the finalists in this year's Coolest Companies competition. Be sure to grab a ticket to the party on July 26 at Native Hostel and Bar & Kitchen where we'll announce readers' choice winners and a few other category winners.
