Austin logistics and delivery startup Fetch wants to help get rid of those big pileups of packages at the leasing office at apartment complexes around the nation.
They do that by accepting deliveries at warehouses and scheduling door-to-door delivery directly with residents, giving tenants a simple way to get their goods without cluttering the mailbox area or risking theft.
On Thursday, Fetch announced it has raised $10.5 million in Series A funding to help it continue to scale its product into new cities. The round was led by Signal Peak Ventures, and prior investors Silverton Partners and Capital Factory also added to the round. Fetch has now raised about $14 million.
The company, founded in Dallas in 2016, moved to Austin last year. It already has operations in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio. And it recently announced it is adding Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Orlando, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, Tampa and Washington, D.C.
"Since our Seed round last summer, we've grown from 6 employees to 140, and increased sales by over 1,000 percent," founder and CEO Michael Patton said in a news release. "We've struck a chord in solving the package problem for the industry through exceptional customer service and consistent, reliable execution."
Fetch is part of a strong batch of delivery and logistics startups in Austin. Other players include uShip, Convey, Dropoff, Arrive Logistics and ShippingEasy, each of which has different approaches and markets.
