Top Atlanta tech and startup hires of May 2021

In the meantime, here's a breakdown of the top personnel changes in Atlanta tech from May. 

Two hires at Atlanta supply chain startup 

BoxLock, an Atlanta supply chain software startup, hired Michael Coyne as chief financial officer and Andrew Kelley III as chief commercial officer. Coyne served as a senior vice president at Kuehne + Nagel, formerly Quick International, a logistics and freight forwarding company. He has 19 years of investment baking experience in supply chain and logistics industries. Kelley served as CEO of Bell Creek Partners, where he consulted with tech founders and investment firms on supply chain and logistics software. Launched in 2017, BoxLock says it's going through a period of rapid growth because of increased demand. 

New leadership at FullStory 

Three people joined FullStory's leadership team to drive the startup's sales growth, marketing and talent operations. Ryan Barreto, who serves as president of Sprout Social and spent 10 years with Salesforce.com, is joining FullStory's board. Kirsten Newbold-Knipp is the new chief marketing officer, and Jim Miller is the vice president of recruitment. Newbold-Knipp spent two decades in technology marketing, and Miller brings recruiting experience from Google. FullStory, a digital experience analytics company founded by former Google employees, plans to expand to more than 300 employees by the end of the year

New C-Suite member at LendingPoint 

Kennesaw-based financial technology startup LendingPoint hired Ashish Gupta as chief risk officer. Gupta, who worked as chief credit officer at California lending company Prosper Marketplace, will lead risk, fraud and market modeling and direct-to-consumer and e-commerce pricing. Gupta has more than 15 years of experience in banking and fintech. LendingPoint, founded in 2015, has seen rapid growth in the past year. It raised $125 million from Warburg Pincus in January to expand and improve its platform and made Atlanta Business Chronicle's fastest-growing private companies list

Retail tech startup makes three hires 

Retail technology company Aptos hired three executives, as it expects to see its highest revenues ever this year. David Bertolino joins as chief financial officer; Terry Geraghy joins as chief human resources officer; and Jeremy Grunzweig joins as Americas general manager. Aptos provides enterprise software to retailers to streamline and personalize customer shopping experiences. Aptos named software veteran Pete Sinisgalli as CEO in November and completed two acquisitions earlier this year. The company is owned by affiliates of the Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division. 

Meet Rural Sourcing's new president 

Ingrid Curtis was promoted to president of Rural Sourcing, an Atlanta onshore digital engineering company. Curtis founded Rural Sourcing in 2008 with CEO Monty Hamilton and has served as chief operating officer for the past decade. Rural Sourcing, backed by an affiliate of Boston-based private investment firm Bain Capital, now has six software development centers and 700 employees. 

New leadership at Verusen 

Atlanta supply chain startup Verusen hired Aaron Meredith as executive industry advisor and Brent Stringer as chief financial officer. Meredith joins Verusen after 20 years of experience in technology and supply chain industries, including as a director at Georgia-Pacific, according to his LinkedIn. Stringer joins Verusen with more than a decade of experience in finance, most recently as vice president of finance at Personify Corp. The hires comes after a year of growth for Verusen, which raised an $8 million Series A in January and hired a chief technology officer in March
