The Championship Round of Atlanta Inno's Tech Madness

It’s the final countdown for Atlanta Inno’s inaugural Tech Madness. The game has come down to a duel between two local startups. Only one will persevere and claim the W.

What’s Tech Madness, you ask? It’s our reader-driven bracket competition in the spirit of March Madness highlighting some of the local startup scene’s biggest, brightest and most exciting technology companies.

Throughout the month, 32 Atlanta-based startups have been going head-to-head in the bracket, and readers like you are deciding who goes on to the next round.

Our readers broke another record this round, with 8,436 votes.

There weren't any close calls this time.

2ULaundry, a door-to-door laundry and dry cleaning startup that’s raised $2.9 million total, beat out PadSplit, an affordable housing startup and Techstars Atlanta Class of 2018 graduate. The B2C startup will go head-to-head with OnPay, a software company with a payroll platform for small businesses that's raised $3.6 million in funding, after it took the W over FoodFinder, a bootstrapped startup that helps connect food-insecure users to food pantries.

Both startups have been performing equally well in the tournament. During the Final Four, OnPay garnered 258 votes while 2ULaundry snagged 252. My guess is, this is going to be a close call.

When voting, we want you to ask yourself this question: Who would you invest in? Whether you answer that question based on who you think would garner the highest return, the safest investment or which startup really reflects your mission in life is entirely up to you. The startups selected are private, venture-backed or bootstrapped businesses we seeded based on funding and other growth metrics.

The winning company of Tech Madness will win total bragging rights for the rest of the year, and maybe even another little prize to go with it.

The final round of Tech Madness ends Monday, April 1, at 11:59 p.m. Vote for your favorite companies then share with friends and colleagues to help us determine a winner. We will announce the winner of our championship on April 2.
