Local accelerator program Endeavor Atlanta has named a new managing director.
Eileen Lee is taking over the role, replacing founding managing director Aaron Hurst.
Lee previously co-founded Atlanta women’s club and community The Lola, a co-working space across from Ponce City Market she ran for six years. Prior to that, she served as founding chief operating officer of Venture for America, a nonprofit in New York.
“Her exceptional experience and dedication to supporting entrepreneurs will be invaluable as we continue to identify, select and support high-growth founders in Atlanta, Birmingham, and the Southeast,” Hurst said in a press release.
Since launching in 2017, Endeavor Atlanta, an affiliate of Endeavor Global, has supported more than 100 high-growth companies. The nonprofit provides entrepreneurs with access to markets, capital, talent and a global network of support as they scale their companies.
In seven years, Endeavor Atlanta's entrepreneurs have created more than 8,000 jobs and raised over $2 billion in capital, according to the announcement.
Lee said her goals include expanding the organization’s reach and impact to more diverse entrepreneurs.
“We're also excited to have more of a presence in the ecosystem through community events and partnerships next year,” she said.
