Ten Georgia companies landed in the top 100 of the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America list.

Banyan Software was named the fastest growing of the local companies and ranks No. 16 overall with an 18,309% three-year revenue growth. The company, dual based in Atlanta and Toronto, acquires and grows enterprise software businesses that have more than $2 million in revenue.

Inc. Magazine releases the annual ranking of the fastest-growing independent and private companies in America. Companies must apply and have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2017 and at least $2 million in revenue in 2020, according to the magazine’s eligibility requirements.

Last year, privacy and data security company OneTrust LLC topped the entire list with a 48,337% three-year revenue growth. This year, OneTrust fell to the No. 132 spot with a 3,080% revenue growth.

Though California staffing agency Human Bees took the top spot this year, there are four more Georgia companies within the top 100 than last year.

In total, 210 Georgia companies made the list, most of them based in Atlanta. Those companies total $9.7 billion in revenue and added 53,025 jobs, according to Inc. 5000. More than 100 are repeat winners, and 22 are newly founded.

When Georgia companies rank on lists such as Inc. 5000 or Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500, it highlights the city’s emergence as a nationally recognized tech hub, Atlanta technology leaders say.

It’s been a record-breaking year for the Atlanta technology ecosystem.

Atlanta now has a handful of startups that raised $1 billion valuations, four of which hit that milestone this year. In years past, the city may have had one or two unicorns at a time, experts say.

Local money has long been cited as Atlanta’s weakness, but a record number of venture capital firms raised funds this year, challenging that narrative. Georgia startups raised more than $2 billion in the first half of the year, surpassing the total amount raised last year.

Since 2015, Georgia representation on the Inc. 5000 list has remained consistent, with about 200 companies on the list and less than 10 in the top 100.

Here are the Georgia companies in the top 100:

  • No. 16: Banyan Software, holding company that acquires and grows enterprise software businesses
  • No. 22: Wild Willies, consumer product brand for beard care and men’s grooming
