Vanco, a provider of electronic payment services to schools, nonprofits and faith-based organizations, has acquired Smartcare, a software provider for child care centers.
Las Vegas-based Smartcare's cloud platform is used by more than 2,000 camps, child care centers and after-school programs for check-in and check-out, online registration, scheduling, billing and lesson plans.
"Smartcare's best-in-class software solution for child care providers is a natural fit for us and will position Vanco for growth in our existing markets," said Shawn Boom, CEO of Vanco, in a press release. "We look forward to adding child care providers to the list of dedicated, community-focused organizations we serve."
Atlanta-based Vanco was founded in 1998 and currently works with over 40,000 churches, nonprofits and schools to simplify administrative processes, organize events and process donations. Its operations are based in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Smartcare was founded in 2014 and has 39 employees.
