Tech Alpharetta, a nonprofit that helps the City of Alpharetta innovate, has appointed four new members to its board of directors. The following new board members are:

  • Chris Larson, COO, Hi-Rez Studios
  • Gopal Nagappan, VP, Digital Transformation | Global Freight Forwarding IT, UPS
  • Larry Reed, CEO, ZKTeco USA
  • Marcia Shipman, VP, Results Management, Scientific Games

G2 Secure Staff, an Irving, Texas-based staffing agency that uses tech to fill aviation service jobs, filed a WARN notice with the Georgia Department of Labor on March 27. According to the notice, 122 people in Clayton County were affected.

Wencor Group, a solutions provider for the aviation industry based in Peachtree City, filed a WARN notice on March 27. Fifty-four people in Fayette County were affected.

Mindbody is a California-based SaaS company provides cloud-based scheduling and other business management for the wellness industry, including gyms, spas and salons. The company filed a WARN notice on April 3 in Fulton County that affects 89 people.

SingleOps, an Atlanta-based business management software startup that caters to the green and outdoor services industry, has raised $6M in a Series B round led by growth equity firm Five Elms Capital. Ryan Mandl, a partner at Five Elms, joined the SingleOps board of directors.

The state of Georgia announced it had partnered with Jackson Healthcare, a local heath care staffing, search and technology company, to bring additional health care personnel to the coronavirus front lines.

LocatorX raised $6.6M from angel investors to support product development and expansion in sales and marketing positions. In addition to the funding announcement, LocatorX also appointed former UPS CFO Kurt Kuehn to its board of directors.

OneTrust, a privacy, security and third-party risk technology platform, laid off 10-15% of its global workforce, according to spokeswoman Gabrielle Ferree. Atlanta Inno received an anonymous tip about layoffs across all departments at OneTrust and reached out to OneTrust for comment. Ferree confirmed the news. As of February, OneTrust had 1.5K employees across 10 offices around the world. The news comes less than two months after the privacy startup raised its largest funding round to date — a $210M Series B. The funding increased the unicorn’s valuation to $2.7B. The company hit unicorn status in 2019 after raising a $200M Series A.
