LinkedIn Report: Atlanta Is No. 2 for Robotics Engineering Jobs

With Atlanta's population boom --- it's one of the fastest growing metros in the nation --- we're likely to see growth in our economy and job market as well.

LinkedIn, the social network for work, has released its third annual LinkedIn U.S. Emerging Jobs Report, which highlights jobs experiencing tremendous growth and what these trends mean for the workforce.

With data collected on LinkedIn's site, the company identified the top 15 jobs that have emerged over the last five years, in addition to skills needed for those jobs, and insights into the industries and cities hiring this emerging workforce.

"In this year’s report, artificial intelligence and data science roles continue to proliferate across nearly every industry," Principal Economist at LinkedIn Guy Berger wrote in the report. "Robotics, an emerging sector of the $1.2 trillion artificial intelligence industry, has also made its first appearance in this report. Blockchain Developer didn’t return, which may not come as a surprise given the rapid decline in popularity of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies."
