A familiar Atlanta company opened a new store in Ponce City Market on Thursday, just in time for holiday shopping.

Email marketing and marketing automation platform Mailchimp has created a physical store within the Citizen Supply shop in the Poncey-Highland marketplace to showcase some of their small business clients. Co-founder Ben Chestnut unveiled the concept in a Tweet Thursday afternoon.

Small Mall was designed with small business in mind. From locally made vintage wear, to totem candles, to Atlanta-made chocolate and ceramic dinnerware from the Blue Ridge Mountains, the pop-up features goods from a few of Mailchimp's small business customers.

Modeled with a 1980s mall theme, Small Mall is a quaint little showcase of goods that don't have the big bucks to make it in commercial stores. The shop features products from several Atlanta brands, such as Xocolatl Small Batch Chocolate, and other small businesses including Arbor TeasAreawareBaron Fig, SHHHOWERCAP and more.

“Mailchimp was once a small business, too and the Small Mall is a great opportunity for us to help the brands that we love grow,” Michael Mitchell, director of brand marketing at Mailchimp, said in a statement.

Mailchimp's headquarters are situated in the office space of Ponce. The company, founded in 2001 by Chestnut and Dan Kurzius, is one of Atlanta's few tech unicorns.

The Small Mall is now open in Citizen Supply within Ponce City Market through January 15, 2020. Check out pictures of the space below.
