Lately, Atlanta has seen an influx of popup exhibits and entertainment centers such as Candytopia and the approaching opening of 29 Rooms.
But the newest interactive exhibit to hit Atlanta is Kefi, a family entertainment experience with a focus on technology.
The 25,000-square-foot space near Phipps Plaza in the Buckhead Triangle shopping center will open Aug. 31, in conjunction with other locations in LA, Chicago and Dallas. At Kefi, you'll find immersive storytelling and technology, including an interactive story cave, a recording and dance studio and a toy testing lab.
Parents will have access to a coffee bar, co-working space and relaxation zones where they can watch their kids and the party going on inside. Each child will receive a bracelet for their safety and as a way to access digital experiences at home.
“Kefi is the answer for busy parents who value ‘me time’ and ‘we time’,” Kefi Founder and CEO Drew Panayiotou told the Atlanta Business Chronicle. “Families deserve a space that is everyday special for both parent and child, where it can be an escape during a busy week versus just a weekend.”
A two-hour play pass will cost $14.99, or a two-person membership will start at $99 per month.
The company initially received funding and research from Atlanta-based Fortune 500 company Chick-fil-A, but Kefi has since formed as a separate company and raised millions of dollars in funding from private investors to open its first locations---it is no longer affiliated with Chick-fil-A, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
