- Rover, a platform that connects dog walkers and petsitters to owners, just launched "Rover Now," a new on-demand feature that allows dog owners to instantly book a walk for their pooch within the hour. According to a news release, doggie moms an dads will be able to get a professional dog walker---who has been prescreened, completed safety education and passed an enhanced background check---within the hour of booking for $12. In addition to dog walking, pet owners can use Rover to book petsitting, where a screened petsitter can stop by their homes multiple times a day or board doggos at the petsitter's home.
- Whoa, Doggy! is a local petsitting service that caters to pet owners in Atlanta and Decatur. Not only can locals watch and walk your dogs, but cat sitting is another service offered to those living in Atlanta and Decatur neighborhoods.
- Critter Sitters is another local petsitting service that caters to Atlanta neighborhoods, greater Atlanta neighborhoods and the Golden Isles along the Georgia Coast. According to the company's website, Critter Sitters is Georgia’s largest and oldest petsitting company, starting its business in the 1970s. Whether you need a dog sitter, a dog walker, a cat sitter or a sitter for fish, birds and even lizards, Critter Sitters has several different service options.
- PetBacker, is an online platform that connects pet sitters with pet owners across the country, including Atlanta. Just plug in your information about what types of pets you have, their needs (walking, boarding, checking in) and for how long you need them, and the platform will connect you to pet lovers in your area who can fulfill the need.
- Wag!, is an L.A.-based dog app that connects you with vetted on-demand dog walkers in your area. Users will receive text updates, live GPS tracking, pee/poo notifications and photo report cards. Users who sign up and get their first dog walk for free.
