Whether you're out in Las Vegas, stuck in the airport on your way to Vegas due to the government shutdown or at home, keeping an eye on CES and the next big tech trends is a must this week.

From January 8 through 11, more than 4,000 companies and 180,000 attendees will gather in Sin City to showcase and test the latest trends in consumer electronics, from autonomous vehicles to 5G.

For Atlanta, we'll be representing at CES with big corporate names, such as Turner and Arris International, but we're also showing off some innovative startups in industries from wearables to mobile applications to robotics to consumer products.

Here are nine Atlanta companies to watch at CES 2019.

AutoKitch

Cooking doesn't have to be hard, according to AutoKitch, LLC. The company is currently developing a "cooking robot for every home." To prepare food with the AutoKitch, a user will choose a recipe, the number of servings and spice level, load the main ingredients of the chosen recipe into the robot and press cook, with food ready in minutes.

CMI Health

CMI Health develops health wearables for remote testing and monitoring of patients. Doctors will be able to access patient data in real-time from a smartphone app.

Murata Electronics

At the trade show Murata, a Smyrna-based tech manufacturer, will present IoT solutions that measure mood and behavior, a road monitoring system for autonomous driving and technology that detects brain signals to visualize how people subconsciously use their brains.

Qoins

Qoins helps post graduates and other debt accumulators pay off their debts by rounding up their purchases. According to the company's website, the startup has helped pay off $3,500,000 in debt.

RockingBed.com

This Canton-based company has designed a $3,450 bed that gently rocks people to sleep. The startup appeared on "Live" with Kelly Rippa and Ryan Seacrest.

Rollr

This Marietta company claims it is designing "the world's first mobile rollable smart display."

SensorsCall

This isn't your mother's LifeAlert. SensorsCall has developed a device called "CallAlert" that looks after the wellbeing of seniors living independently. The device allows caregivers to contact their seniors via voice using an app without the use of a phone (according to the company, many seniors forget to charge their cell phone or hang-up on the land line). Caregivers can also record messages such as a medication reminder to be delivered at a reoccurring time.

Steady

Steady is an “income-building” platform that provides workers in the gig economy with flexible on-demand jobs and financial services that fit their needs. In August, the startup raised $9 million in a round led by Propel Venture Partners. The company’s new financing also came from the Omidyar Network, the impact investing firm established by Ebay Inc. founder Pierre Omidyar, and Santa Monica-based Clocktower Technology Ventures. In addition to the startup’s funding, Steady also snagged a celebrity backer—former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal. Earlier this year, Steady joined ATDC’s Accelerate program and was a finalist for the 2018 Atlanta Startup Awards.

udoq

udoq has designed an unlimited docking system for Apple and Android mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, eReader, music player, smart watches, battery packs and other devices to clear clutter in your workspace.
