One of Atlanta's largest tech and venture capital conferences---and one that generated nearly $2B in funding since its inception---is kicking off next week.
If you're in the Atlanta tech ecosystem or you want to learn more about it, Venture Atlanta is the event to shine. For two days, investors, innovators and tech companies will convene on Oct. 16 and 17 at the Southern Exchange at 200 Peachtree Street in Midtown. Here's a breakdown of what we'll be seeing at the conference this year.
If you're looking to check out tech companies---or just the competition---33 companies will be presenting on the stage during the two days of Venture Atlanta. Notable Atlanta startups including 2ULaundry, Bark, brrr°, Goodr, RoadSync and more will grace the stage. Thirty-four other startups, including several Atlanta Inno has written about like BoxLock, Monetizr, Qoins and VRgluv, will appear for a showcase. The companies will share “sneak peeks” into their plans and products during the main networking event of the conference.
On the investor side, more than 140 funds will be represented at the conference. Here's a list of all of last year's investors who made an appearance.
For speakers, Silicon Valley mogul and former CEO at FireEye, McAfee and Documentum Dave DeWalt will serve as the opening keynote to start the event.
Join a fireside chat with Arun Mathew from Accel, where he's in charge of growth investments, security and infrastructure markets. Other fireside chats will feature Deborah Farrington, co-founder and managing partner of StarVest Partners LP, Frank Bisignano, CEO and chairman at First Data, Hala Moddelmog, CEO and chairman of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Ross Mason, founder of MuleSoft and Kyle Porter, founder and CEO of SalesLoft.
