If there's one thing we know how to do well down South, it's throwing a big soiree.

Thursday night, we hosted Atlanta Inno's inaugural 50 on Fire event on the scenic rooftop of Ponce City Market. With the city as our backdrop, we celebrated the people, businesses and organizations that are driving and defining the region's innovation economy.

Hundreds of the city's top entrepreneurs and innovators appeared at the sold out event for networking, yummy snacks and a celebration of the best and brightest---50 of the most exciting and fast-growing startups and individuals in Atlanta. In addition to honoring our 50, we also announced the category-winning Inno Blazers in our community.

What's 50 on Fire, you ask? 50 on Fire is a contest that starts with hundreds of nominations from the community. Atlanta Inno — along with editors at other American Inno markets — then select 50 companies and individuals that are making major moves in the ecosystem, looking at growth, impact, new product launches, market expansion, funding and much, much more. 50 is designed to shed a spotlight on the ecosystem at large, which is why you'll see honorees from across a variety of categories and stages. A panel of judges then evaluates the 50 on Fire list and ranks the top three companies in each category. After tallying votes, we have our category-winning Inno Blazers.

A special thanks to this year’s judges: Jessica Saunders, managing editor at the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Joe Beverly, president of Atlanta Technology Angels, Hala Moddelmog, president of the Atlanta Metro Chamber, Anna Fetz, senior marketing manager at JLL and Jacqui Chew, startup catalyst at ATDC.

We'd also like to thank our partners, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and our terrific sponsor, JLL.

You can read more about all 50 on Fire winners here. Now, let's get a look of those Inno Blazers and a few of our fav photos from the night.
