A company picked as one of Atlanta Inno's startups to watch is raising more money, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Wripple Solutions Inc., a marketplace that provides companies with on-demand, interdisciplinary teams for different projects, raised $1.2 million, according to the filing. The company plans to raise another $200,000. The funding has six investors.

This round brings Wripple's total funding to $5 million, according to previous Atlanta Inno reporting. It comes as venture capital deals continue to be scarce since the highs of 2021.

Wripple was founded by former executives of digital media company Razorfish in 2018.

Wripple CEO and Co-Founder Shannon Denton said the company updates the contractor process, which is usually inefficient, costly and time-consuming. It also capitalizes on the remote work trend, allowing more flexibility for contractors. Essentially, it brings a gig work style to white-collar workers.

The startup's customers include Delta Air Lines Inc., AT&T Inc. and Children's Health of Atlanta.

Wripple was named a Startup to Watch by Atlanta Inno in 2022. Shortly thereafter, Wripple raised $2.8 million from Silicon Road Ventures. Other investors who participated included BLH Venture Partners LLC, Engage, Service Provider Capital, VentureSouth and Golden Seeds Ventures.

In January 2022, the company had nine employees and planned to grow to 40 by the end of 2023. It is unclear how many employees the company has now.

Denton did not respond to request for comment by press time.
