A Woodstock-based SaaS startup in the restaurant and hospitality space has almost completed its $5 million round.

Popmenu, a customer engagement engine for restaurants, has raised $4.5 million of its $5 million Series A round, according to a filing with the SEC. The platform helps restaurants control their menu in real-time to attract and engage customers.

In 2018, the company raised a $585,000 seed round from unknown investors. Atlanta Inno reported earlier this year that the company was raising a $1 million debt round.

Their technology is designed to help restaurants keep updated menus, reviews, photos and ratings on their website without customers having to find information on a third-party site such as Yelp or Google Reviews.

Clients of the startup include Cafe Monarch, Umami Burger, Hugo's Restaurant, Murphy's and Square One Concepts.

Atlanta Inno has reached out to Popmenu to learn more about their startup.
