UserIQ, an Atlanta-based software company, has raised $3.6 million in a recent funding round, according to a filing with the SEC.

Launched in 2014, UserIQ is a B2B customer engagement startup that tracks what users are doing inside web applications and allows customer service, product management and product marketing teams to deliver relevant messages to the right user at the right time.

In January, we selected UserIQ as one of our 19 startups to watch in 2019.

UserIQ acquired Appunfold, a company based in India that focuses on customer tracking, desktop engagement and mobile engagement last year. An ATDC program graduate, UserIQ was among the startups selected for the Technology Association of Georgia’s Top 40 Innovative Companies list this year.

The company has raised a total of $5.5 million from notable investors such as BIP Capital, BLH Venture Partners, Accelerant Venture Capital and Tech Square Ventures. The company was recognized in 2017 by G2 Crowd as the customer success solution with the highest user adoption.

Co-founder Aaron Aycock currently serves as the company's chief product officer and Hart Williford, the former CEO and current chairman emeritus at Ingenious Med, filled the Form D, listing himself as the company's CEO, though no formal announcement has been made. Co-founder and managing partner of BIP Capital Mark Buffington is a UserIQ investor, along with Ashish Mistry, managing partner at BLH Ventures. Former CEO and founder of Silverpop William Nussey resides on the company's board of directors.
