Azuca, an all natural and fast-acting cannabis edibles brand, announced on March 23 it will partner with Albuquerque-based medical cannabis dispensary Everest Apothecary to bring a new line of products to patients in New Mexico. The partnership will allow Everest Apothecary to distribute Azuca's products to the local market and utilize the brand's technology and formulations, according to a news release.

“Everest is the perfect partner to help us expand our national retail footprint and serve the needs of those seeking fast-acting products,” said Kim Sanchez Rael, president and CEO, Azuca. “With our patent-pending 'TiME INFUSION' technology, we have the ability to transform the New Mexico market by delivering innovative edible products that consumers can count on as consistent and trustworthy.”

According to the release, the partnership will provide the New Mexico cannabis market with a fast onset edible product that provides a more controllable experience through its unique 'TiME INFUSION' process. Most edibles on the market can take up to 90 minutes for effects to take place, but with Azuca's process that changes cannabinoid molecules to be water friendly, effects can take place within 15 minutes.

“We are excited to bring Azuca’s 'TiME INFUSION' and great-tasting products to New Mexico,"  said Trishelle Kirk, chief operating officer, Everest Apothecary. "We are seeing exponential demand for infused products in all of our dispensaries and are certain that Azuca’s fast-acting technology, paired with our high-quality, recognizable brand throughout the state, will make for an unbeatable market force — and provide medical [cannabis] patients with a premium product.”

Everest Apothecary reported approximately $4.86 million in gross receipts according to Business First's 2020 Medical Cannabis Producers List. Earlier this year, Azuca also announced they were relocating their hemp factory from Colorado to New Mexico.
