A customer acquisition company from California will begin to hire 100 people for its new Downtown Albuquerque office.
LQ Digital uses digital services to help clients attract more business, including digital marketing, social media and contact center services. To kick off its local hiring efforts, the company plans a hiring event later this month in search of its first local workers. A "Candidates at the Cantina" hiring event will be held at Cantina Real on Aug. 17 and will allow candidates to apply for interviews. The company is also offering a $1,000 bonus for referrals.
LQ Digital wants to hire 100 people by the end of 2021, CEO Katy Keim previously told Business First.
In January, the New Mexico Economic Development Department announced LQ Digital had been awarded $417,164 in job training funds. The incentives cover 101 positions with an average hourly wage of $15.70.
The company plans a grand opening for its Albuquerque headquarters in early October. Its Albuquerque office is located at 40 First Plaza Center NW near Downtown.
“In our journey with the economic development teams and local leaders, we learned a lot about companies who open offices here and ‘export’ their operating plan to the local market,” Keim said in a prepared statement. "We are searching for leadership who shares our values and can tailor the LQ Digital approach to our employees here."
LQ Digital was founded about 15 years ago and uses digital platforms to identify customers and create demand for its clients with digital marketing. It then makes contact through its call center department, which will be grown in Albuquerque. The city beat out hundreds of other potential locations for the expansion.
The company is headquartered in Oakland, California, with additional offices in Austin, Texas, and Shelton, Connecticut.
As of May, the company employed about 300 people nationwide, Business First reported.
