Several companies will meet with more than 20 investors to build relationships that may help grow their businesses through an event put on by two Albuquerque organizations.

Called New Mexico Investor Roundtables, the events bring together businesses and investors to forge connections that could be beneficial in the future. Its first meet up was in November, and its next will be on Feb. 12. The program is being put on by the New Mexico Angels, a group of investors focusing on early-stage companies, and local business accelerator ABQid, which is part of CNM Ingenuity.

"The virtual roundtable hosted in November equated to more than fifty investor interactions," ABQid Executive Director T.J. Cook said in a statement. "Now, we want to increase the frequency of the event because we know it will ultimately lead to more investment activity this year.”

Six companies will take part in the next event, according to a release from ActivateNM, ABQid's tech-focused accelerator:

  • Fishki Provisions – easy-to-prepare Southwestern food
  • InBizWorks – an online platform that provides entrepreneurs with interactive tools that help them build, market, and grow their business.
  • The Neighborhood Score – a platform for helping people finding a suitable neighborhood.
  • PWRLab – a platform that converts sports data into "amazing, actionable information," according to its website, to help pursue athletic goals with less risk of injury.
  • Rerouted – An online marketplace for buying and selling outdoor gear.
  • Stokli – an online store for dry goods such as beans, according to reporting from the Santa Fe New Mexican.

"A major advantage for us all here in New Mexico is that we can work together as one community. Many of our local angels have expertise to share with entrepreneurs and are pleased to do so," New Mexico Angels President Drew Tulchin said in a statement.
