Nominations are now open for New Mexico Inno's 2023 Startups to Watch awards.

The awards spotlight early-stage companies that are set to make big moves in the coming year.

What defines a "big move"? A new product coming out, rapid physical expansion, opportunities for lots of capital investment or an innovative approach to solving a problem — or any combination — could all make a company one to watch in 2023.

Read through some of last year's Ten Startups to Watch honorees to get a sense of what makes a terrific company to watch.

There's only one strict eligibility requirement for nominees — the companies must be headquartered in New Mexico. Otherwise, nominations are all about telling a compelling story of why our readers should follow the company being nominated.

The deadline for nominations is Dec. 16. Self-nominations are welcome, and more details can be found online.

Albuquerque Business First's editorial team will judge the nominations. Contact Jacob Maranda with questions about the nomination process.
